Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator

My new Honda has a lo psi warning that seemed to come on all the time. This pump saves a lot of trouble,no more searching for AIR. It takes a while to fill real lo pressure tires and takes a little pratice connecting on and off. Gets hot after a few minutes pumping. The price and convience make this cool looking compressor nice to have. I'm really pumped up about It!

Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor

I just received the MV-50, and it is a well-built, compact unit with good convenience features. The heavy duty nylon carrying case and 15 foot hose are a pleasant surprise for a modestly priced unit. The rated output is 72 litres per mimute, or about 2.5 cubit feet. The delivery pressure isn't stated for that volume. The maximum rated output pressure is 120 PSI. These are ratings on par with a light duty compressor operated from AC wall power. The owner's manual is a bit vague on duty cycle, staing that a cool-down is required after 30 minutes of operation. The MV-50 can inflate a flat car tire in about three to four minutes, so there should be no need to worry about duty cycle for most applications.Several people remarked they wish the MV-50 came with a cigarette lighter attachment. The MV-50's motor draws up to 30 amps, which would melt the contacts or at least blow the fuse on most lighter sockets. For instance, the 12 volt socket on my Toyota truck is rated and fused for 15 amps. The MV-50 comes with clips for attaching dierectly to the 12 volt battery to maximimize the current it can draw and to make sure it receives full battery voltage. As rated, the MV-50's motor should develop 3/4 horse power or more. This assures plenty of power for rapid inflation.Another reviewer remarked about finding the MV-50 for only $25. That was apparently a short-lived sale at Pep Boys, where the wrong model was briefly discounted. I think they meant to discount the normally less expensive MV-30.…

Goodyear i7000 12-Volt Direct Drive Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator

This is a great little compressor, Small enough to keep in my truck, but powerful enough to top off my tires to 65psi in just a couple minutes. The flashlight is a bit gimicky, but it could be useful in some situations. The switch for the light is separate from the compressor switch so you don't need to turn it on unless needed. The power cord and air line are plenty long enough to comfortably reach all 4 tires on my full size, extended cab truck (as long as I came out a door on the side I was inflating), yet short enough to be easily manageable. The air chuck screws onto the tire valve so you don't have to hold it on while inflating, and the auto-coiling air line tucks into the provided carry bag easily.I was very impressed with both how quiet and cool it ran. Even inflating to 65psi it didn't struggle, or even warm up.It might be a bit of overkill for passenger car tires (~32psi), but it's great for truck/SUV tires.

Slime Power Sport Tire Inflator - --/--

I have had this compressor for a bit over 3 years now and it gets a lot of use. I ride a motorcycle and use this compressor to add air to the tires. It is used almost weekly to "top off" the air and once when I had a flat. After fixing the puncture with a plug I used it to completely reinflate the tire.It saved me from a long and costly stop along the side of the road. It is small enough so that I can always carry it with me in my saddlebag. All that said.....It is slow to inflate and the unit gets hot after several minutes esp where there air hose connects to the unit. but those are minor annoyances.

VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor

I've had a VIAIR 70P for quite some time and that unit is great for the small pump that it is. When I needed another small portable compressor that was able to be powered by a cigarette lighter power socket, I noticed that VIAIR had a new model and got one. This one is almost twice as fast as the 70P and every bit as quiet. The unit doesn't walk around when you're using it and the brass screw-on tire chuck makes for almost no air loss. The LED power indicator is a nice touch and I found the air pressure gauge to be spot-on as long as I turn the compressor off to check pressure. In all, another nice unit. -I just wish this was available when I got my 70P. Side note: don't throw away the box - its a means of storage since this unit doesn't come with a carry bag.

Slime COMP06 Pro Power Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator

I drive a pick-up truck daily. Not your 'ordinary' truck mind you... mine has 38" mud tires (yeah one of THOSE trucks). One late summer morning I sauntered out to the driveway to fire-up the beast and noticed that one of my tires was flat.Bummer... these babies run $300+/each.I had a tire inflator in my Bride's car and attempted to inflate my tire. Attempted being the key word. After nearly frying her unit I ended up borrowing a neighbor's portable compressor to inflate my tire. This little life distraction caused me to search for a portable inflation device that would work well on larger tires. Happily I stumbled upon the SLIME unit and it's listed as PRIME! Prime Slime... sounds like a bad garage band.Sorry - ADD bicycle ride there.Anyway I ordered the unit and it magically appeared the next day at my office. Dying to try it out I took it out to my truck, went home and fired-up my home compressor (bought one due to the little mishap above) as a 'just in case' back-up plan. I deflated the tire about 50% and hooked-up the SLIME.The case is a nicely designed storage device with a frontal pouch for the long green hose. Plug the SLIME unit into any cigarette adapter/power port and you're ready for the show. The tire chuck screws on to the stem (GREAT feature) and you just flip the switch and let the compressor do its thing. I did not time this but the tire did inflate in a 'reasonable' amount of time. Slower than my compressor for sure but galactically faster than my Bride's…

Slime 70005 Safety Spair Flat Tire Repair System

I like the innovative design! I purchased this kit for my wife's car because it's easy to use. I have more peace of mind knowing she'll be able to handle a flat tire now if I am at work or otherwise unavailable.

Slime PowerSpair 48-Piece Tire Repair Kit

I purchased this kit after switching to conventional tires. It contains everything you need to make several repairs, though if you have anything bigger than the diameter of a pen, best have someone to call. The compressor is the best part of the kit. It's quiet, fast and sturdy, and it includes a small LED light. It does require a 15 amp connection; the kit includes a battery clip adapter if your lighter isn't rated for it. The gauge is suspect though. I checked it against two other gauges (including the one that comes with the kit), and the compressor gauge consistently reads too low.The air hose screws onto your valve stem and provides a secure, leak-proof connection, but if the valve stem is dirty, this may pose a minor inconvenience.Overall, a good kit, but I hope I never have to use it.

Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor

I bought this to use on a motorcycle. The pump's size is remarkably small for its output and the carrying case makes it perfect to carry on a motorcycle. However, the built-in gauge for the pump shows 50 pounds when the tires only have 40. That's far too inaccurate to be safe. I compared the pump's built-in gauge against a digital pressure gauge (which is accurate to 0.5 psi) and against the motorcycle's onboard internal gauge (accurate to within 1 psi). Both the external and internal digital readings were identical, but 10 pounds under the pump's readings. A 25% error bar is intolerable. The pump itself worked well until about 18 months later when it started making noise and about a week later it died. I have another cheaper machine by another brand that I kept in my car which lasted 10 years. The failure of this Viair pump so soon after I bought it makes the rating much lower.

Slime 40001 Power Sport Tire Inflator

This product works great, takes up little space, adds little weight and provides great peace of mind knowing that I'm not going to be stranded with a flat tire as long as I can plug the hole. I was going to buy the CO2 system until I discovered this small pump but I didn't like what I was reading about using the CO2 in that in most cases it takes more then one or two catrages to fill the tire and once their gone their gone. With this pump I will always have an air supply.
