Cheap Pencil Gauge

Unlike other tire pressure gauges, the Moroso makes an excellent air tight seal with the valve stem. There is no leakage of air giving you confidence that you are getting an accurate reading. I highly recommend this item.

I ordered this item... clearly stated "pack of 18" only got one -- Emailed the company -- they said ok send it back and we'll try to correct your problem -- second package was the same... Only one!

I spent way to much time looking for a smallish, light wieght and...oh yes...accurate.. tire gauge that wouldn't take up a lotta room in my seat bag when all the time there it was right under my nose....this very Planet Bike pencil gauge.It was one of the first gauges I checked out and the user reviews were, positive. I coulda just gone got bought one.But no ....I had to check them all out ...the round gauges, the digital types. They all seemed pretty pricey. I even shopped auto parts stores and they said don't buy the pencil gauges cause they are not accurate.I got so tired of trying to find what I was looking for that I sort of gave up and told myself I'd spend up to 25 bucks for the gauge that met the requirements as per above regardless of brand.So I walked into my LBS. These guys are pros and straight shooters and have never done me wrong and I put a lot of faith in their recommendations.I strolled up to the BM behind the counter and said all I want is the smallest, lightest weight and reasonably accurate tire gauge that will take up the least amount of space in my seat bag.I didn't ask for any particular brand.The BM said let me show you what I'd recommend. He excused himself and walked back to a corner of the shop and came back with something in his hand.Lo and behold he handed me a Planet Bike pencil gauge.Well that was good enough for me and for 6 bucks (yeah I know I could buy a bunch of em' for an average of 50 cents a piece but I only needed one) well I walked out…

I ordered 2 of these straight from Amazon (not a 3rd party marketplace seller.) The product number, as well as Amazon's product picture corresponds to the qty-24 retail display. What I ended up getting was Slime 20108 10-50 PSI Mini Magnetic Pencil Gauge Sure, I didn't pay much more than the regular price for 2, but I was hoping to use these as stocking stuffers and if I only wanted 2 I could have gotten 2 gauges PLUS 8 aluminum valve caps for the same price (also from Amazon.) As if that wasn't enough, the gauges held up my whole shipment for a couple of weeks and in the end shipped separately anyway. Lots of stores carry these and are usually cheaper than Amazon, so save yourself the trouble. If you need the full retail display, I would suggest leaving Amazon completely out of the equation.P.S. I hate reviews of sellers in place of product reviews as much as the next guy, but this is a special case. The actual gauges work pretty well, but you should really visit the product link I included for reviews of the actual gauge.

Sturdy, well built and easy to use. Although a little more expensive than other similar qauges well worth the extra expense.

Not sure I like the bleeder.... Almost seems to sensitive even bending the hose will read .5 psi...
