Best Cheap Mann Oil Filter

I don't know what other applications there are for this filter, but I use it for my 1985 BMW 524TDs-the first modern diesel passenger cars.It is a pretty big filter, and the canister housing unbolts very easily from underneath the engine. One thing for sure, the size and quality of this filter keeps your engine oil cleaner than the smaller spin-on types so common today. Amazon has the best price on the internet, considering the free shipping option. Since I have 3 identical cars that use this filter, I will be ordering these filters several times a year.

It did the job it was needed for and was worth the investment but still a cheap knockoff. Once you get the filter cover out you'll scratch you head thinking how to separate the tool from the cover as the two get stuck together. The one I borrowed from the dealership once that had the "Volvo" stamped on it was a higher quality and well finished tool which did not give me any headaches trying to get it off the cover. The flutes were perfectly aligned and it had a deeper bottom. I'd still recommend the Assenmacher knockoff, the price is justified and still much better than the Chinese junk. A universal wrench is out of the question when working on Volvo.

Just a quick note to confirm this filter fits w123 Mercedes. Have a 1982 240d and this filter popped right on!

This product comes with copper oil drain plug gasket and rubber gasket (which I did not use) for filter. Worked great, my wife thought the car ran smoother and had more power. Used the Valvoline oil instead of Mobil 1. Went on vacation in Colorado the next week and put 3k + miles on the car with no problems. Will order again. I also put one in my 2007 X3 and it seems to give me about 2-3 mpg better than OEM filter which Amazon also sells.

This is the very good fit for our car. You should replace it by yourself if you haven't. The illustration and package are in German. But it is very easy.

Quite simply the product does what it says and fits without issue. I used this on my 2006 BMW 325i. Two min to change and another min to reset the car computer and you are done in under 5 min.

Owners of 2000 thru 2002 Lincoln LS 3.9L should take advantage of the extraordinary quality of this brand of oil filter. Will not fit 2003-2006 3.9L Lincolns due to addition of factory oil cooler. I have done extensive research on filters and some are true junk. Most junk filters will last 3K miles before the bypass opens. You will run unfiltered oil if that happens. With the trend to use synthetic oils some neglect the oil filter. There are many quality filter that can last 5000-5500 miles before needing service while using full synthentic. Avg filter pleates range from 40 to an amazing 88 on the Mann. Oil is expensive and using a junk oil filter just doesn't make sense with synthetic oils. Check the 2001 Jag S type with 4.0L. It uses the same oil filter

I love the ability to buy OEM products on Amazon for way less than retail prices. I do my own oil changes on my 06 C55 AMG and these are the OEM oil filters. Used a few now and they all work great. Come with all the rubber washers too, which is great.
